Owen was a draughtsman with NEI-NSL. When the Heysham 2/Torness project started he transferred to the works (along with myself) to become a Shift Process Control Engineer. Left at the end of the project to become works manager for TKS De-Icing in Hexham. Liked the company so much.. he bought it! Pressures of living (practically) next door meant giving up his directorship (although he kept his shares) he ended up working for an aluminium extrusions company. Now Chief Executive Officer of AST, producing trailing edge wing spars & stringers for the new Airbus A380. |
